Marci Gerston is currently serving her fifth and last year as chair of the JCRC at the Jewish Federation of Silicon Valley. Her 2.5 terms have been focused among other things on African American and Muslim relations, immigration and affordable housing.
Marci was born and raised in Philadelphia PA. She attended college and law school in New England before moving to California in 1985. She is a partner in the law firm of Greenfield Draa & Harrington LLP in San Jose where she specializes in commercial litigation.She currently lives in Los Altos with her husband, Joel; they have two grown children.
Marci is a member of the oldest reform congregation in San Jose, Temple Emanu-El, where she has served on the Board of Trustees, on the Executive Board as Vice President of Education and Youth, and as a member of the Tikkun Olam committee. She also is an active leader with PACT (People Acting in Community Together) in San Jose. Marci is currently serving a second year on the board of JCPA as a Community Representative.
