Criminal Justice Reform: Reengaging the Jewish Community in Civil Rights

Mass incarceration constitutes one of the greatest civil rights crises facing our nation. Our country now incarcerates more than 2.2 million people–a full quarter of the world’s prisoners. One in every 15 black men and one in every 36 Latino men is incarcerated today. The Jewish community has a strong tradition of advocating for civil rights. This panel is a call to action for reengagement on this important issue. Join Glenn Martin, President and Founder of JustLeadershipUSA, and Rabbi Jonah Pesner, Director of the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism, for a discussion on what you can do to educate and activate your community to end this injustice and help those affected by it.
